He brings rains to our drought

And now, God, do it again - bring rains to our drought - stricken lives so those who planted their crops in despair will shout hurrahs at the harvest, so those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing. (Pslam 126: 4- 6 the Message)

Restore our fortunes, Lord, like streams in the Negev. Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy carrying sheaves with him. (Psalm 126: 4 - 6 NIV)

I believe as I said in our last blog, times have been tough lately. This past week, I set off with a heavy heart to work with the group that came in. However, as the week progressed, God continuously poured out His mercy and blessed our hearts with a fruitful week that did much to lift our spirits. The group from Oklahoma was awesome. During the week, we passed out around 3,000 gospels. We held a carnival where almost 100 people came and the gospel message was presented. The group went to a "nursing home" for men and passed out coffee, bread, and hugs all around. Also, we hosted a movie night with the national church we were working with, Iglesia Odre Nuevo. We worked hard and felt the blessing from it - God is good and we pray that what we sowed this past week will reap a great harvest.

Last week, I went out with tears and God sent me home with arms full of sheaves! He gave me this verse above from Psalms 126 in my quiet time on Saturday and it is my new prayer as we continue on in our ministry - that He would bring "rains to our drought" and send us home with "arms full of blessing."

- Please continue to pray for us as we continue our work here in Mexico that we would finish strong and that we would not be overcome with spiritual and emotional drought but that God would bring the rain and fill us up with His love and His power so we might be witnesses for him and continue on in the work He has for us.

- Please pray for the health of our precious baby. We go to the doctor again this week and will have officially passed the first trimester! We are less than six months away from D - Day!

- Please pray for Travis as he is working hard at school - it is really tough on him when we are gone for whole weeks with our groups working from early in the morning until late at night.

- Please pray for us as we are searching for God's plan for our future - job, home, etc. We know that He knows the plan but sometimes we have impatience and wish that He would share it with us! Pray that we will have patience and a discerning spirit when the time is right.

- Please pray for our next team that is arriving on March 20th from Gray Gables Baptist Church in Callahan, Florida.

We thank God for all of you and pray that you would have a great week!

Much love,

Travis, Danielle, and Baby
